We’re Paola and Laura, two friends from Colombia who met while navigating young adulthood in Toronto, Canada. Our connection was immediate, bonded by humor, stories, and a shared nostalgia for home. Having moved to Canada, we value the opportunities here, yet we still long for the warmth of family and the familiar connections from back home.
Coffee brought us together early on, Paola’s enthusiastic love for it, and Laura’s playful cynicism about the burnt coffee often found here compared to the rich, smooth taste of Colombian brews.

Over three years of lighthearted coffee talks in trendy Toronto cafés, something deeper began to grow: a longing for belonging, community, and a way to honor our roots. After a long, challenging day in the fast-paced immigrant life, where everything seems rushed but time is never enough, we decided to bring a piece of home to the home we’re still building.
